Virtual Reality
- A computer-simulated environment that can simulate physical presence in a virtual world.
Augmented Reality
- A technology that superimposes a computer-generated image on a user's view of the real world, thus providing a composite view.
Put another way, virtual reality brings the user into a virtual world whereas augmented reality brings virtual items into the real world.
